Kurzbeschreibung
"Don't be a Menace... erzählt die Geschichte Ashtrays, eines jungen Schwarzen, der von seiner Mutter zum Vater ins Getto zurückgeschickt wird, damit er dem Sohn dabei hilft, erwachsen zu werden. Gleich nach seiner Ankunft in South Central (LA) sucht Ashtray seine alten Freunde in der Nachbarschaft auf - Loc Dog, Crazy Legs und Preach. Gemeinsam ziehen sie los zu einer Party für Toothpick, der erst kürzlich aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wurde. Auf dem Fest trifft Ashtray die verführerische Dashiki, eine ledige Mutter mit einer multikulturellen Kinderschar. Obwohl Ashtray von seinem Cousin Loc Dog vor der mannstollen Daskhiki gewarnt wird, kommt die Warnung zu spät: Ashtray gerät in die Fänge Dashikis, und so beginnt eine Reise durch die sattsam bekannte Szenerie der Stadt."
