| Beschreibung: Zehn Menschen, die sich noch nie zuvor gesehen haben, suchen in einer sturmdurchpeitschten Nacht durch eine Verkettung merkwürdigster Zufälle in demselben, heruntergekommenen Motel mitten in der Wüste Zuflucht. Auf den ersten Blick haben sie nichts gemeinsam – abgesehen davon, dass das Schicksal sie hier zusammengeführt hat. Doch bald wird deutlich: Jeder von ihnen verbirgt ein Geheimnis — der Limousinen-Chauffeur (JOHN CUSACK), eine TV-Schauspielerin (REBECCA DeMORNAY), ein Cop (RAY LIOTTA), sein Gefangener, ein entflohener Schwerverbrecher (JAKE BUSEY), ein Callgirl (AMANDA PEET), ein gerade frisch verheiratetes Pärchen (CLEA DuVALL und WILLIAM LEE SCOTT), eine Familie in Not (JOHN C. McGINLEY, LEILA McKENZIE, BRET LOEHR) und ein nervöser Motelmanager (JOHN HAWKES). Aber die geteilte Freude über den gefundenen Schutz währt nur kurz: Das Motel entpuppt sich als Falle – und für einige von ihnen zur Grabstätte. Als ein grausamer Countdown einsetzt, bei dem einer nach dem anderen auf brutalste Weise zu Tode zu kommen droht, macht sich Angst breit ... und mit ihr eine Erkenntnis: Wollen sie überleben, müssen sie das große Geheimnis lösen, das sie in dieser Nacht des Sterbens zusammengebracht hat. | ||
